Mix them, match them, make them your own!
Did you know that “chicle” — a kind of tree sap — was once the main ingredient in chewing gum?
Okay, that’s interesting, but what does it have to do with these paintings?
And why are they called Chiclets?
Because they remind me of that colorful chewing gum from the past. They’re square and cute and little (12 x 12 inches), and you can play with them — like I did with Chiclets chewing gum as a kid.
I’d group the Chiclets, and M&Ms, too, by color. And then make shapes and designs out of them. (We didn’t have video games!)
Did other kids arrange their candy this way? I’m guessing, yes. So let me know if you were also a Chiclet arranger!
You can use these little paintings to design your own unique wall arrangement, perfect for your space.
Each Chiclet is a unique work of art on its own, but combine two or more and that’s when the magic happens. The shapes and colors complement each other to create an interesting and pleasing arrangement that’s uniquely YOU because you designed it, using the Chics as elements.
A Design Tool
See a Chiclet in colors you love? Use it as the basis for your mood board when designing your room. They’re small enough — 12 x 12 inches — to take with you to the store when you’re choosing your paint colors, upholstery fabrics, area rugs and more.
Don’t see the colors you want? Let me know and I can paint some bespoke Chiclets just for you in colors of your choice.
Display one Chiclet, or twelve, or anything in between — in one row, two rows, three rows, or a column. They’ll adapt well to your space, especially tricky, small, or hard-to-decorate places.
There are more Chiclets to come…
I’m always creating more Chiclets, each one a unique, stand-alone painting.
